February Meeting Minutes The meeting was called to order at 6:10pm at the Pizza Ranch in Lennox, SD. Approval of the January meeting minutes was motioned by Kevin Finck and the motion was seconded by Shawn Nesseim. Old Business The Spirit Shoot, held on Sept 19-21, will be a Grand American shoot. It will be worth double points. Two buckles will be provided as prizes. A motion was made by Steve Swanson and it passed. There will be no Memorial Day weekend shoot due to multiple activities that weekend. Sponsorships – Shawn Nesseim spoke to his contact at Pepsi. It will be easier to get product than money. Communication with Pepsi will continue to determine sponsorship. Club Apparel – It was suggested that the club wear a red shirt with a yellow scarf. Discussions will continue on the topic. Horse Fair – DTMS will have a booth at the horse fair. Good comments were given by the community regarding the period clothing worn by the DTMS members at last years Horse Fair. New Business Practices will be held the 2nd Thursday of the month starting on June 12th at 7pm. Canistota Sport Days – A one day shoot will be held Sunday, July 13th at 1pm. It will be an MSA (20x) shoot. A motion was made by Troy Nickel and Peggy Whitehead seconded the motion. Shooting Clinic – A discussion took place to hold a shooting clinic over the weekend of May 31 and June 1st. The shooting clinic would be on May 31st and a one day, MSA shoot would be held on June 1st. The discussion has been tabled until next month. Our next meeting will be at 5:30pm at the Pizza Ranch in Lennox on March, 9th. (REMEMBER- Daylight Savings Time) At 8:18pm Kevin Finck made the motion to adjourn the meeting, Shawn Nesseim seconded the motion. |
