April Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 6:05pm at the Pizza Ranch in Lennox, SD.

Approval of the March meeting minutes was motioned by Mardy Gulbrandson and the motion was seconded by Gene Whitehead.

Old Business

Shooting Clinic - Reminder to members and all interested parties to contact Brian and Paula Bausch to sign up for the shooting clinic on May 31st.

Horse Fair - The Horse Fair went well this year. We had a lot of people stop by the booth to ask questions and to get information. Twenty people signed up to receive information regarding the club.

Spirit of the West - Bill and Jeanne Pattison spoke about the updates, events and sponsors for this years Spirit of the West.

New Business

Entry Fees - Here is the run down on the fees and some prize information for this years shoots.

June 1st (MSA Shoot)

$75 for MSA members, $85 for non-MSA members

(Mick N made motioned the fee & Gwen H seconded – motion passed)

July 13th (Canistota Sport Days) (MSA shoot- 20x)

$50 for MSA members, $60 for non-MSA members

(Mardy G made a motion for the fee & Travis seconded – motion passed)

July 19-20 SD State Shoot (CMSA – Triple Point)

$100 entry fee (no additional fee for non-members)
$45 entry fee for Rifle
5 buckles given as prizes (overall men, ladies, rifle, level 1 & junior)

Sept 19-21 Spirit of the West (CMSA – Grand American –Triple Point)

$60 entry fee (no additional fee for non-members)
2 buckles given as prizes
Kevin F. made a motion that the State Shoot and Spirit Shoot entry fees stay the same as last year. Mardy G. seconded the motion. The motion passed

Meeting Dates – June, July, August & October meeting dates have changed to the following:

June 15th at 5:30
July 10th (will take place before practice)
August 14th (will take place before practice)
October – will discuss at later time

Our next meeting will be on May 11th at the Pizza Ranch in Lennox at 5:30.

At 7:48pm Mardy Gulbrandson made the motion to adjourn the meeting, Peggy Whitehead seconded the motion.
