Dear Sponsor, Cowboy Mounted Shooting is currently the fastest growing equine sport in the United States and abroad. The Dakota Territory Mounted Shooters (DTMS) has played an active role in bringing this unique and exciting sport to Eastern South Dakota. Spearheaded by the Whitehead Arena Crew of Lennox, SD, along with the local 7th Calvary, DTMS was formed in January of 2006. The club's mission is three-fold:
After hosting nearly a dozen events so far, including the South Dakota State Cowboy Mounted Shooting Championship two years running, and qualifying several members for National events in every age group - the club is proud to say they have accomplished their goals. Their events are garnering quite a reputation in the Mounted Shooting World, drawing competitors from across the Midwest and beyond. With the economic transitions in the world today, horse loving families are looking for more ways to enjoy their animals in events the entire family can participate in – and mounted shooting meets that need. With skill levels for both men and women, juniors and a wrangler division, there is something for everyone. Even members who don’t ride can find things to do at the events by helping with the balloons, timers and paperwork.
As membership and interest in the club continue to grow, it creates an outstanding opportunity for companies such as yours to receive recognition by sponsoring various events. Financial support and product donation will gain you direct advertising opportunities to individuals who shop your businesses.
